Streambed Memories
Textured wall surface sandblasted exterior vertical marker wall of the building. The cast bronze leaves float mounted off the surface of the wall. The patterns are drawn from the banks and streambed of the watershed, while the entirety of the piece symbolizes and memorializes officers of the precinct fallen in the line of duty.

Sanctuary Grove
Sculpture installed in public lobby of the building. Constructed from 17 peeled red alder logs on a steel platform mounted in the public lobby over the Watch Officer's desk. The trees are arranged to enclose and shelter a central empty space, representing a sanctuary or sheltering place, drawing imagery from the forest level of the watershed.

Exterior spot lamps with gobos. Casts reverse image of the forest on the northeast corner of building for four hours in the evening. Refers to the ancient forest originally covering the site.

River Tangents: Big Wood River Valley, Idaho
6 steel sculptures commissioned by the Idaho Transportation Department mark anchor points of this bridge on Idaho State Route 75 over the Big Wood River, referencing the adjacent historic Truss Bridge and surrounding patterns and elements from the natural environment and the history of the area.
Storylines: Yakima Valley Community College
Storylines, commissioned by the Washington State Arts Commission for Yakima Valley Community College Palmer Martin Building, houses the language, communications and fine arts departments. Using the metaphor of Ititimat string diaries historically kept by Yakama tribal women, lines of knotted rope imagery with colored porthole "beads" etched on a large exterior concrete knife wall, embedded as pattern with in-ground lighting in the exterior lobby plaza, and expressed as strings of student textfritted on lobby glass. Design team collaboration with BORArchitects and Hough Beck & Baird Landscape Architecture.
Rescue: Fire Station 35, Seattle, Washington
Rescue, commissioned by the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs for Fire Station 35, in Seattle's Crown Hill neighborhood. The painted steel ladder/stretcher sculpture supports a firefighter's neon logo and crown, with a blue neon "water" element extending up through the "flame". The piece also acts as the awning for the station entrance and provides concrete seating element surfaced in blue glass mosaic tile.
Salute: Boise State University Student Union, Boise, Idaho
Commissioned by the Boise State University Foundation to honor student veterans of Boise State University. Eight cut columns of Columbia basalt stand in a "timeline" of quartzite flagstones, one column for each decade since the founding of the university. The saluting soldier is cut from half-inch steel and stands facing his silhouette in the timeline.
Sine Trellis: South Puget Sound Community College, Olympia, Washington
Commissioned by the Washington State Arts Commission. The work is a play on waves and curves as they express themselves in the various disciplines that will be taught in the building, from the purely mathematical to the twist of the DNA spiral and climbing vine. Work done in close collaboration with the architects, The Miller|Hull Partnership and G.A. Mortenson Construction general contractor.
Inbound: Seattle Tacoma International Airport, Seatac, Washington
Ccommissioned by the Port of Seattle for the Seattle-Tacoma Airport International Arrivals Corridor. Arriving on the ground after a long international flight the de-planing passenger seeks welcoming glimpses of the surrounding environment and direction to the next step in the arrivals process. The installation addresses these natural inclinations and builds a sense of place through passage. It is composed of approximately 300 panels distributed over 1,307 linear feet of corridor.
Looking at a Watershed: Southwest Seattle Precinct: Seattle, Washington
Commissioned by the Seattle Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs for the City of Seattle's Southwest Police Precinct building. The artist worked in collaboration with Arai/Jackson Architects to incorporate art throughout the building. The art integrates elements from the Delridge Neighborhood Plan, the Seattle Police Department Program needs, and direct input from the community via the process of community design, taking its shape from the metaphor of nearby Longfellow Creek and the different strata of life in the watershed.
